Ethics

Biobank samples taken for the NOPHO Leukemia Biobank belong to Uppsala Biobank for organisational and responsibility purposes (reg. no. 827). The responsible organisation (Region Uppsala) and the registration number must be stated in the ethics application. If samples are released, i.e. the responsible organisation changes and the samples leave Region Uppsala’s responsibility, this must also be stated. Please refer to the Swedish Ethical Review Authority’s application guidance for more information about what the various sections of the ethics application should include.
